      1. Flipping the switch too quickly can cause the motor to NOT change direction.
      2. Never let the lift hit the bottom of the lake bed!
      3. Never allow the lift to hit the top to the dock!
      4. When not in use keep your lift out of the water.
      5. Stay out of the boat or jetski while lowing or raising. Most people don't. If a cable was to break serious injury could occurr. That's my the motors are labled "not for lifting humans".
